In early 2015, Seminole Baptist Church in Springfield, Missouri, reached out to Paragon for a sanctuary renovation, including updated video, lighting, and custom scenic elements. The church, built in 1993, sought to modernize its worship center while preserving its beautiful wood ceiling and stained glass. Their goal was to create a more welcoming space for all generations and visitors, and they trusted Paragon to enhance the space without detracting from its existing beauty.
The new lighting system features over 50 Chauvet LED fixtures, controlled by a High End Systems Hoglet Console with touchscreen, along with new equipment racks, floor pockets, and extended lighting positions. The video system includes three Digital Projection E-Vision Laser 8500 projectors, displaying content on Da-Lite Large Format HD Screens, and live video is streamed and magnified through three Data Video PTZ cameras mixed via a Data Video HD Switcher. An HD/SDI Matrix Switcher manages the routing of video content to all projectors and displays.
Working with Paragon’s family of companies, the sanctuary was transformed including custom scenic, staging, and architectural elements, such as LED-lit faux rock and wood textures, LED wall sconces, illuminated modesty walls, and a custom pulpit. Two faux rock towers were placed on either side of the center stained glass, and the baptistery front and stage were refinished to match the updated design.
Due to the fact that Paragon's scenic and architectural elements are built in a modular, non-permanent fashion and are pre-fabricated, it allowed for a very quick transformation of the space that resulted in tremendous cost savings.
