South Gate Baptist Church in Springfield, MO, contacted Paragon for a solution to install a video screen behind the Pastor, despite being told by other companies that the stage size and low ceiling heights made it unfeasible. Paragon designed a solution, which led to a multi-phased renovation project for the church.

Paragon Partners with South Gate for Renovation

South Gate Baptist Church in Springfield, MO, contracted the Paragon family of companies for a multi-phased renovation of their 500-seat sanctuary, starting in February 2017, to enhance the congregational worship experience. The project included updating the stage lighting and video systems, with an automated mid-stage screen and front projection setup. Paragon adjusted the lighting to ensure proper stage illumination without affecting the screen, redeploying existing lights and adding new units. The first phase also featured custom illuminated modesty walls and back wall lighting.

To improve the pastor's connection with the congregation, Paragon designed a custom stage thrust that moved the pastor into the room and lowered their position. The video system was also upgraded with a new switcher, cameras, and recorder, improving both the live and broadcast video experience. Following the success of phase one, phase two included adding a new dimmer system, full-color LED house lighting, and a new lighting console, which transformed the congregational experience by allowing seamless control of the lighting and scenic elements.
